Built-in Skills

TARX ships with roughly 48 built-in skills across 18 categories, created and maintained by the TARX team. They're available to all users and projects with no setup — just assign one to an agent. Each skill is a curated system_prompt; it never changes the agent's model or temperature.

The categories: content, marketing, social, research, data, developer, devops, cybersecurity, customer-success, sales, finance, legal, hr, design, operations, project-management, product, education.

Below is a representative sample. Browse the complete, current list in-app under Skills (or in the Agent Editor's skill picker), where each skill shows its description and example prompts.

Content & Marketing

SEO Content Writer

Produces blog posts and web content optimized for search:

  • Naturally integrate the primary keyword in the title, first paragraph, at least one H2, and conclusion
  • Use semantic variants and related terms throughout
  • Structure for featured snippets: answer the main question in the first 100 words
  • Include a meta description suggestion (140–160 chars)

Technical Documentation Writer

Produces clear, accurate technical documentation:

  • Active voice, present tense; a code example for every concept
  • Admonitions for notes/warnings/tips; numbered steps for procedures
  • Assumes a competent reader who may be new to this specific tool

Email Copywriter

Writes persuasive, action-oriented emails: curiosity-driven subject lines, a single focused CTA, inverted-pyramid structure, short sentences and paragraphs.

Social Media Writer

Creates platform-appropriate posts (X, LinkedIn, Instagram) with the right length, hook, and hashtag conventions per platform.

Research & Data

Research Analyst

Conducts research with source evaluation: primary > secondary > tertiary source hierarchy, publication-date awareness, explicit flagging of contradicting sources, and a "gaps and limitations" section.

Data Analyst

Analyzes data with statistical rigor: states assumptions, distinguishes correlation from causation, includes uncertainty ranges, and reports effect sizes — not just significance.

Developer & DevOps

Senior Code Reviewer

Reviews code with expert depth, prioritizing correctness → security → performance → readability, with OWASP awareness and severity-tagged findings (🔴 must fix / 🟡 should fix / 🟢 consider).

Python Developer

Writes idiomatic Python: PEP 8, type hints, docstrings, comprehension/pathlib/f-string preferences, explicit error handling, and suggested tests.

DevOps Advisor

Provides infrastructure and reliability guidance: infrastructure-as-code preference, 12-factor principles, least-privilege security, observability suggestions, and cost-awareness.

Cybersecurity

Security Analyst

Analyzes security events and vulnerabilities: MITRE ATT&CK mapping, CVSS severity framing, and a consistent "what happened / what's at risk / remediation / detection" structure that separates confirmed threats from suspicious indicators.

Customer Success & Sales

Customer Support Agent

Handles support with empathy and efficiency: acknowledge frustration first, plain language, one question at a time, confirm resolution, and a clear escalation path.
